Four Months & Skinnydipping

Kate is 4 months old!  She is by far our easiest baby yet.  She is happy most of the time & smiles lots for us.  There have actually been times that I’ve wondered if there’s something wrong with her because she sleeps so much.  She doesn’t sleep through the night yet, but goes right back to sleep after she eats and takes great naps during the day- when she’s not being carted around to a sibling’s school, gymnastics, swim lesson, etc.  At her 4 month check-up the doctor noticed the back of her head is a little flat & she hasn’t rolled over yet.  I told her it’s because the poor girl spends all her time in her car seat.  And when she’s not in there, she’s sleeping!  I kind of felt like a parenting fail after that, so we’ve been making a concerted effort to give her more tummy time.  I guess these are just 3rd child problems.   I’ve never noticed my brother having a flat head, so I bet hers will round out, too.

Baby Kate even got to join in the fun.

We have been so fortunate to have a friend of a friend teaching the kids swimming lessons this summer.  It has been such a good set up for us, and she is so patient with our kiddos & all their funny little quirks.  Austin has never liked wearing wet clothes.  His swimsuit is no exception.  So he now takes swimming lessons in the buff.  I just don’t see that going over real well at Miller.  No shortage of character in this house!
