Okay, folks. Kohl's is giving away $500,000 to 20 schools in honor of their 10th anniversary. The Little Light House (Addison's amazing tuition-free school for kids with special needs) is currently ranked 37th out of 60,000 schools! We need your help to get into the top 20 (less than a week ago we were #53, so it can be done!). Please, please go to Kohl's Cares for Kids and vote 5 times for The Little Light House. Then, TELL YOUR FRIENDS! Call your local news. Tell your church- everyone you can think of! Please! We need lots of votes by Sept. 3. Thank you!

First Day of School

More Waco Pics & 11 months

Thought I’d post a few more pics from our Waco adventure. Addison loved the train at Kiddieland! Austin almost fell asleep. I don’t know if that means we just weren’t going fast enough for him or maybe he’s more of a Cliffhanger kind of guy. There’s always been something about a breeze in my face that makes me sleepy, too.

I love that my kids loved Schmaltz’s (a Waco favorite for those of you unfortunate enough to never have experienced it).

And everyone can use a little Grans & Granddaddy lovin’.

...and a few “11 month” pictures that made me smile. (We had a wardrobe malfunction mid-shoot. It involved spit-up.)

Grans Camp 2010

We’ve been hanging out with Grans and Aunt Brittan this week while Daddy went fly fishing with Granddaddy and Uncle Russ, and we have had a blast! I think my kids are going to be bored when they’re stuck with just me again! Here are some highlights:

Mini Laps!

We are so excited for Mini Laps this year! This is the biggest fundraiser the Little Light House has each year. The kids get dressed up according to the theme and make their lap around the LLH track, all the while having their accomplishments and milestones touted over a loudspeaker. The laps are followed by a great little carnival with the works- food, face painting, animals, etc.

The Little Light House will spend about $17,000 this year educating Addison alone! This is our chance to help pay back at least a portion of that. If you would like to support this incredible school and ministry, please visit Addison's Mini Laps page, or click on her picture to the right.
